Central Council Financial Report:
The Central Council Financial Report for the period of 1/1/00 thru 12/31/00 has been submitted to the Diocese separately.
Publicity:
Newspaper articles have been submitted to: The Armenian Church, Armenian Reporter, Armenian Mirror-Spectator - regarding the 54th Annual Choir Assembly, and the Junior Choir Program.
Publications:
The Abbreviated Sunday Morning Service - expected to be ready for publication in 2001. This may slip into 2002 due to increase in scope of the work.
Scholarships:
The Central Council will award the following four scholarships for year 2001:
1) $250 scholarship to a St Nersess Conference;
2) $250 scholarship to the St Vartan Camp;
3) $250 scholarship to the Hye Camp;
4) $500 scholarship (musical training) for the Margaret E. Hagopian Fund.
The Central Council is currently in the process of reviewing the applications that have come in.
55th Annual Choir Assembly:
This will take place in Trumbull, CT. Arpie Kouzouian, of the Central Council, is working with the host parish in making preparations.
Special Projects:
Mary Selvinazian has been asked to serve as the Special Projects coordinator for the Central Council.

Year 2001 Objective of the Central Council:
The primary objective of the Central Council for the year 2001 it to plan and deploy a comprehensive Junior Choir Program. The workshops of the 54th Annual Choir Assembly focused on the Junior Choir Program. As a result, a roster was created of potential Junior Choir directors across the Diocese. A workshop (Train the Trainer approach) is scheduled to be taught by Maestro Khoren Mekanejian at the Diocese on Saturday August 11, 2001 from 10am-5pm. An invitation was mailed to 28 potential participants during the week of 7/2/01. The agenda is to use this workshop as a driver towards establishing additional Junior Choirs acrosss our parishes and to strenghten existing ones.
