Sixth Sunday of Lent

The Lord reigneth;
He is clothed with majesty.

Of old You announced beforehand the mystery of Your coming,
Through the prophets of Israel
Chosen by You after Moses;
Who spoke by the Holy Spirit in many and various ways;
Grant us, O Saviour, mercy and remission of sins.

With the approach of the last days,
The seers announced Your coming, O our Saviour, at the end of time;
You appeared among men
Adorned in the image of a servant;
Grant us, O Saviour, mercy and remission of sins.

On the sixth day
You fashioned Adam in Your lordly image,
He did not keep the commandment, but stripped himself of the garment;
But You, the New Adam, in the sixth Age
Visited the perishing;
Grant us, O Saviour, mercy and remission of sins.

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit;
Now and for ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Temple of the most pure Light
And Bridal chamber of the Word no word can express!
You accepted on yourself the sorrowful cure of first-mother Eve;
Beseech Your only-begotten Son
Our advocate of reconciliation before the Father,
To deliver us from upsets and grant us peace of soul.
