"The little church that will . . . "

July 16, 2000

Dear Friends

Saint Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church Choir will be hosting the 54th Annual Assembly of the Association of Armenian Church Choirs of America (AACCA) November 2-5, 2000. We are honored to host the first Millennium Choir Assembly in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

Coincidentally, our parish will be celebrating 55 years in the Haverhill community. The dedication of the Choir has been unsurpassed. The AACCA has played a major role for the past 54 years for our Choirs in the Diocese through the perpetuation of our liturgical music. Among the many programs the AACCA has sponsored are Mission Programs, regional workshops, scholarships and publication of informative music and manuals.

Our committee is planning a highly energized Assembly with numerous activities of interest. The detailed schedule of events will follow shortly. One of the most memorable events will be the participation in the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, November 5, 2000. For some of us, this will be the first Millennium celebration of the Badarak with choir representatives from the Diocese; for others, it will bring back spritual and unforgettable memories from Pilgrimage 2000 to Jerusalem this past January.

We are preparing a Commemorative Booklet and ask for your support as a contributor.

Contributions will be designated as follows:

Please make your check payable to St Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church Choir and mail it to the attention of:

Alice Kasparian, Choir Treasurer
20 Altamont Street
Haverhill, MA 01831-3808

Print or type your name and address clearly so that we may include your name(s) in the Commemorative Booklet and send you a copy.

Deadline date for inclusion in Commemorative Booklet is September 15, 2000.

Warmest regards,

Paul S. Tavitian
