Subject: FOLLOW UP NOTICE FROM THE AACCA CENTRAL COUNCIL
The Association of Armenian Church Choirs of America's Central Council met earlier this month with our Primate, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, at the Diocese, and began developing and creating a plan for our organization. In the coming months a presentation will be made to His Eminence and the Diocesan Council members on the future goals of the Choir Association.
Since the IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE AACCA CENTRAL COUNCIL, dated July 10, 2006, was sent out, Central Council members have received various levels of feedback from our choir members. We believe that your input is important to the organization and encourage you to share your thoughts.
During this critical time, we are continuously evaluating our performance and achievements so that our focus of serving our churches and supporting our choirs remain steadfast and in doing so we will need to assess our By-Laws.
Throughout the 60th year of the AACCA, Regional Workshops will be conducted throughout our Diocese. The Central Council members are already in the process of arranging them. Once these dates are secured, information will be forthcoming. We will continue to provide the services that were listed in the July 10, 2006 notice, and look at wash to develop new programs.
Additionally, the Junior Choir Leadership Development Program (JCLDP) is confirmed for August 13-19, 2007, at The Ararat Center, Greenville, New York. Students of the JCLDP class of 2004, 2005, and 2006 will be invited as well as new participants. Registration and eligibility forms will be sent out to parishes in January 2007. Dr Socrates Boyajian will be the coordinator for the JCLDP Class of 2007.
In closing, I want to emphasize and reassure everyone that the Council members are still at the helm and will continue to carry on its role in our Diocese.
