Subject: Junior Choir Program Status Report
The chair of the AACCA is requesting a Junior Choir status report from those parishes that have started or developed Junior Choirs in the Diocese. The AACCA started the Junior Choir Program in 1999 and has established 21 Junior Choirs in the Diocese over that five-year period.
To keep abreast of how the junior choirs are progressing in the parishes we would like:
(1) A status report as to the progress of the Junior Choir,
Who the Junior Choir director is in the parish, and
The number of children in the Junior Choir and their names.
The development of Junior Choirs in the parishes of our Diocese is vital to continue and perpetuate the singing of our Holy Badarak in future years. Teaching the Holy Badarak to our youth is essential because the Badarak is the heart of our church.
For those parishes who have not yet established a Junior Choir, the AACCA encourages these parishes to start a Junior Choir. The AACCA is available to provide assistance when necessary.
