Subject: Choir Association Participation in the Jerusalem 2000 Pilgrimage
As you may already know, the Association of Armenian Church Choirs of America will be playing a major role in the Jerusalem 2000 pilgrimage. It is necessary to poll our choir members so that we can formulate a roster of participants for this pilgrimage. This information is critical for the planning purposes of the Central Council. Therefore, we ask that you assist the Central Council by distributing the enclosed survey among your choir members.
For the planning purposes of the Central Council the responses need to be received by May 15, 1999.
The Central Council has a scheduled meeting for May 22, 1999 where the results of this survey will be reviewed as input for our planning activities.
Mary Selvinazian, the Central Council coordinator for this project, will be following up on the responses received.
During the Central Council meeting of April 10, 1999, the Central Council met with Maestro Khoren Meikhanedjian and we scheduled a series of workshops - leading up to this pilgrimage. The first workshop is scheduled for late June 1999.
Each workshop will cover both the music of the religious services, and the concerts that will be persented in Jerusalem under the direction of Maestro Khoren Meikhanedjian.
It is critical that we get a handle on the number of participants that we can count on for this unique event.
This survey, as well as other Jerusalem 2000 Pilgrimage information is also available on our web site: www.erols.com\sograd\aacca
