Bulletin #07 1998

To: Parish Priests, Parish Council Chairpersons, Choir Chairpersons, Choir Leaders, Organists

From: Mary Selvinazian, Chair, Central Council

Date: April 15, 1998

Subject: Choir Plate Collection

Each year we ask the choirs of our Diocese to hold a special Choir Day Plate Collection and to send the proceeds to the Central Council for the benefit of the Choir Association. As you are aware, dues are not assessed according to our Bylaws; therefore, your financial contribution helps to ensure the continuation of the worthwhile projects. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

The most appropriate day for your Choir Day Plate Collection is in conjunction with the Feast of the Holy Archangels, traditionally assigned to choirs. If your choir did not take advantage of that particular day last November, another Sunday may be selected to take the collection in your church and send it in as soon as possible. This will allow the Treasurer time to compile an accurate and comparative budget for presentation at our next Choir Assembly in Camgridge. If we are to operate successfully, the true financial picture should be known in order to enable the delegates to approve a realistic budget.

Please be advised that, henceforth, all Choir Day Plate Collections will be listed in the Central Council's financial report according to date received and will not necessarily be applied to a given year, as have been the past practice.

Your check for the Choir Day Plate Collection, made payable to AACCA, should be forwarded to:

Norman Noorjanian, Treasurer
20 Iadarola Avenue
Milford, MA 01757
